Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- On Tuesday, Cincinnati police responded to a video circulating on social media showing officers arresting a teenage boy who was selling water in a busy intersection. The video shows a Cincinnati officer attempting to arrest the 14-year-old. The Cincinnati Police Department said that the video captures a "snippet of an incident that lasted more than 10 minutes." - A man was seriously injured in a crash Sunday on I-71 northbound at mile marker 2.3, said Cincinnati Police. The 23-year-old driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado hit a 2016 black Nissan Murano on Eden Park Drive before fleeing the scene. The driver of the Silverado then began traveling the wrong way on the I-71 northbound ramp to Eden Park Drive and hit a 2013 Toyota Highlander, causing the truck to flip over onto its side. - With high gas prices continuing into the summer months, Cincinnati Metro is hoping to help ease the pain at the pump this summer by offering free Metro travel for 10 weekends on Saturday and Sunday. "We saw such a positive response to our fare-free week in the spring following the initial spike in gas prices," said Darryl Haley, Metro's CEO, and General Manager. The program will run from Jul. 2 to Sept. 4. (WLWT Cincinnati)
