Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- Plan ahead for your morning commute: the Roebling Suspension Bridge will begin intermittent closures this morning due to a scheduled inspection. Inspectors will be on site today through Friday from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., with the inspection scheduled to be completed by Aug. 10. Drivers are urged to watch for crews, equipment, and closure-related signage. (WHIO)
- A Cincinnati native is looking for love on reality TV. 25-year-old Jeff Christian Jr. recently joined the fourth season of Love Island USA, currently airing on Peacock. Christian comes from a family of athletes and previously played college football at Ohio University, as well as at Southern University and A&M College. (The Cincinnati Enquirer)
- On Saturday morning, a driver died after flipping over a bridge downtown. The incident took place around 3 a.m. at the 5.3 mile marker of I-471 south. As of Sunday evening, the Cincinnati Police Department has not released the driver's name as authorities notify the family. Investigators reported speed appears to be a factor in the crash; they are still determining whether impairment played a role. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
