Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- Demolition is underway for West Price Hill's Schulte Mansion. Efforts to save the mansion, built in 1892, were unsuccessful. The Schulte Mansion is on land that the Boys & Girls Club is buying and has been earmarked for a workforce development center. One preservationist stated that the mansion was West Price Hill's only Queen Anne-style pattern masonry home. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
- 25-year-old Anasia Shinholster was charged with felonious assault after shooting the owner of Yummi Express in Roselawn over what was described as a "minor customer dispute." An altercation ensued after Shinholster expressed dissatisfaction and wanted her money back. The altercation escalated resulting in her pulling a gun from her purse and shooting the owner of the restaurant. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Cincinnati's non-profit bike share program, Red Bike, is using a federal grant to expand. The program opened several new stations downtown and in Over-the-Rhine this summer, and will launch the first West Side docking station next week in Lower Price Hill. There will be new stations by the Downtown public library, at Ziegler Park in Over-the-Rhine, West Court Street in The West End, and a second station at Smale Riverfront Park near Great American Ballpark.
