Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:

  1. A shot was fired at Fountain Square during the Cincy Soul event on Saturday night. Cincinnati police did not find a shooting victim, though the event shut down early due to the ensuing chaos. According to police, many of the evening's issued stemmed from panic in the crowd. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  2. After nine years in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, Holtman's Donut Shop has closed. Holtman's made the announcement on social media and thanked the OTR community for its support. The shop will continue serving confectionaries in its Loveland, Oakley, Williamsburg, and West Chester locations. (FOX19)
  3. The Cincinnati Zoo's corpse flower plant bloomed on Friday, two days ahead of schedule. People waited up to two hours in line to get a glimpse of 'Morticia,' located in the zoo's Discovery Forest. Corpse flowers, which bloom just once every seven to nine years and collapse shortly thereafter, let off a pungent and distinctive smell from their stalks. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
