Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- The band Smashing Pumpkins has announced they have added Cincinnati as a stop on their upcoming Rock Invasion 2 tour. The tour begins in May with a stop at the PromoWest Pavilion at OVATION on May 27. Tickets are available starting Feb. 25 to see the band that rose to popularity in the early 1990s. - Jane Austen film costumes will be on display in Cincinnati this summer. The costumes are part of a new Jane Austen: Fashion & Sensibility exhibit at the Taft Museum of Art. The costumes include ball gowns, wedding dresses, day dresses, hats, jackets, and various other clothing garments that portrayed the 200-year-old stories. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- The Cincinnati Police Department is attempting to connect with the city's youth through its cadet program. The department uses social media and music videos to recruit the city's youth in an effort to meet them where they already are. According to cadets within the program, they have a new appreciation for the family unit exhibited by the force which has shown them a new perspective on life. (Spectrum News 1)
