- A new movie starring Regina King will begin filming this week in Cincinnati. The latest major motion picture to be filmed in the city, "Shirley," follows the dynamic presidential campaign launched in 1972 by Shirley Chisholm, America's first black congresswoman. Oscar-winner Regina King stars in and is a producer of the film, which is written and directed by Oscar-winning writer/director, John Ridley. (Fox19)
- An employee has been charged with assaulting and abusing an assisted living center resident in Cincinnati. Demique Bowers faces charges of felonious assault, patient abuse, and failing to provide for a functionally impaired person. The assault took place on June 9 at the Twin Towers Care Facility, resulting "in serious physical harm," and a special prosecutor has been assigned to this case. (Local12)
- City officials may intervene to help preserve St. Mark's Church in Evanston once and for all. (WCPO)
- Delta and American Airlines are adding seats and flights to get Bearcats fans to Arlington, Texas, in time to see UC make history at the College Football Playoff semifinal game on New Year's Eve. (Fox19)
