The annual scholarships range from $8,000–$44,800.
Northern Kentucky University is honored to be a partner with Cincinnati Public Schools and to present CPS graduates with the Educational Diversity Scholarship, said Kimberly Harris, assistant director of diversity and outreach at Northern Kentucky University. "Remember, there is nothing that you cannot achieve if you believe, stay resilient and do what it takes to make your dreams a reality. NKU has faith in you," she said.
"It means a lot to me to be able to have this fund to help me through college," said Chiana Balcaitis, a graduate of Western Hills University High School who will be attending NKU and hopes to be a teacher someday.
For Ronald McKenzie who recently graduated from Aiken High School, his annual scholarship award of $28,600 from Miami University means peace of mind. "The ability to go to school without my parents worrying if we can afford it, gives me more of a reason to do well in school," he said.
"It's a key that opened my door to a successful future, said Anjana Majhi, a recipient of a scholarship from the University of Cincinnati and a 2020 graduate of Withrow University High School.
Arianna Nooks, a graduate of Gamble Montessori High School, will be attending Miami University in the fall. "I worked really hard to get to where I am and getting the scholarship made me feel like it was all worth it."
While the 39 students were awarded $3 million in scholarships, the CPS class of 2020 secured a total of $68 million in scholarships.
Congratulations to the following seniors who accepted a university scholarship designated for a CPS graduate.
