Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Cincinnati Mayor Pureval and the City Council have announced plans to purchase three new vehicles for the Cincinnati Fire Department. The new vehicles will be used to replace some of the aging fleet and will cost roughly $1 million. The funds will come from the American Rescue Plan Act funds that the city received. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  2. Are you having difficulty paying your water bill? The billing system used by Greater Cincinnati Water Works is currently experiencing an outage. It is not entirely clear yet if customers have a way to pay their bills since phone payments cannot be made or mailed in. The Greater Cincinnati Water Works is municipally owned and operated. (FOX19)
  3. Spring is here and the ice cream stands are opening for business. Putz's is opening on Mar. 28 for the season but ice cream machines need to be tested. Putz's will be giving away free ice cream cones today until 1:00 p.m. while it tests its machines. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
