The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cincinnati.
Hello, neighbors! Sean Peek here with today's edition of the Cincinnati Daily.
First, today's weather:
Cloudy, a.m. rain, then breezy. High: 58 Low: 32.
Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Educators across the Cincinnati area announced plans to increase security in response to TikTok posts warning of shooting and bomb threats at schools on Friday. Officials assured parents the viral posts were not considered credible, but the threats had many educators on edge as they circulated in the aftermath of a deadly school shooting in Michigan, which has been followed by numerous copycat threats to schools elsewhere. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- A new business is opening in Over-the-Rhine this weekend, and the owner is serving up her own spirits, wine, and beer, all made in-house. OTR StillHouse is located in the 2000 block of Branch Street, seen from Central Parkway in the Brewery District. Just steps from the city's streetcar route, OTR StillHouse is supposed to bring people into the city who don't typically come into the city. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Under Mayor John Cranley, the Cincinnati Planning Commission and its staff have rarely turned their thumbs down at a major development project, but at its final meeting of the year, members did just that. The Planning Commission voted down a $41 million project near UC. (Cincinnati Business Courier)
