1 Woman Killed, 1 Wounded In Drive-By Shooting In Cleveland

Police said a red Dodge Dart fired at a family gathering on Euclid Avenue.

CLEVELAND — Two women were shot, and one was killed, on Euclid Avenue on late Tuesday night, Cleveland Police said. Initial investigation suggests the women were victims of a drive-by shooting.

Police were called to the 18000 block of Euclid for reports of a woman that had been shot. When officers arrived they found two victims, both in a parking lot. One woman had been shot in the chest, the other had been shot in the elbow.

The first victim, who had been shot in the chest, was rushed to University Hospitals for treatment. She later died from her injuries, police said.

Investigators found that the women, and some of their family, had been standing around a parking lot on Euclid Avenue when a red Dodge Dart began firing at them. The vehicle went east on Euclid.

Detectives continue to investigate the shootings.
