140 Grams Of Heroin Seized In Northeast Ohio
More than 140 grams of heroin were found during a traffic stop in Northeast Ohio, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
BOSTON HEIGHTS, OH — More than 140 grams of heroin were seized by the Ohio State Highway Patrol last week. The narcotics are worth approximately $14,000, the patrol said.
On June 25, after seeing a Ford Fusion drift out of its lane and then tailgate other cars, troopers stopped the Fusion on the Ohio Turnpike. While talking with the driver, troopers smelled marijuana coming from the car, a patrol spokesperson said.
Troopers searched the Fusion and found approximately 140 grams of heroin. There were also two grams of marijuana found in the car.

The driver, a West Virginia man, was taken into custody by the patrol. He faces charges of trafficking and possession of heroin, both first-degree felonies. He faces up to 22 years in prison and a fine of $40,000.
