15-Year-Old Found Dead In Field In Cleveland

Police are asking the public for help in solving the teenager's killing.

CLEVELAND — A teenager was shot and killed in Cleveland on Thursday afternoon, police announced.

At 2:40 p.m., a 15-year-old was found in a field just west of Garfield Avenue. He had a gunshot wound to his chest, police said. He was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

On Sept. 30, callers reported hearing gunshots near Garfield Avenue and E. 105th Street. However, police were unable to find anyone who had been hurt in the shooting.

Then, a day later, police found the 15-year-old in the field.

Investigators have since learned that a nearby house was also struck by bullets during the gunfire on Sept. 30.

No arrests have yet been made.
