700 People Without Power In Northeast Ohio
Monday night's thunderstorms have left part of the region in the dark on Tuesday morning.

CLEVELAND, OH — More than 2,000 FirstEnergy customers are currently without power in Northeast Ohio after thunderstorms on Monday night. Power is expected to be restored for much of the region by 10 a.m., according to the company's estimates.
Many of the outages are concentrated in east side suburbs. Approximately 100 customers could be without power in the Mayfield Heights area alone, according to the FirstEnergy outages map.
Thunderstorms rolled into the region late on Monday night, dropping heavy rainfall in some areas. While Tuesday morning was clear, there's a chance of more storms on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

The inclement weather could return at some point after 2 p.m., forecasts say. That would mean winds hitting close to 10 mph and elevated rainfall in areas where storms hit the hardest. It could also mean additional outages on Tuesday.
The storms could continue until about 8 p.m. on Tuesday night. The chance of evening storms is about 30 percent and new precipitation would only amount to about a tenth of an inch, the National Weather Service said. There could be more rainfall in areas hit by the storm.
