Cleveland Journalist Found Killed Near Toledo
Nikki Delamotte, of cleveland.com, was reported missing after she went to visit a family member in Perrysburg Township.

PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, OH — Cleveland journalist Nikki Delamotte was found killed in a trailer park in a suburb of Toledo.
Delamotte was cleveland.com's culture reporter. The news organization said Delamotte had planned a Sunday visit to a relative's place at Friendly Village Mobile Home Park in Perrysburg Township, a suburb about 15 minutes south of Toledo.
Delamotte's car was found outside a home at Friendly Village on Monday. Police were cordoned off the trailer, cleveland.com said. Delamotte's body was found inside the trailer, shot to death.

The culture reporter worked for Cleveland Scene before joining cleveland.com. She had been a prolific writer and several Northeast Ohio institutions were lamenting her loss on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Beachland Ballroom, one of the region's best music clubs, wrote, "We're learning the devastating news that Nikki Delammote has passed... The entire Beachland family is in mourning of one of Northeast Ohio's brightest shining stars. Nikki was a tremendous asset to the NEO community & a valued friend. Spread to all you know today. RIP Nikki."

Lakewood's bar, bowling alley and concert venue, Mahall's, also mourned Delammotte. "Nikki Delamotte epitomized smart, community-focused, fair journalism. She had her finger on the pulse and reported widely and enthusiastically on our area’s arts and culture.She uncovered so many hidden gems and highlighted countless unsung heros.A profound and devastating loss," the bar said on Twitter.
