2 Killed In Shooting On Saturday In Cleveland

Two 40-year-olds were shot and killed inside a Dodge Durango at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

CLEVELAND — Two people were shot and killed near Old Brooklyn on Saturday morning, Cleveland police said.

According to police, shots were fired near Henritze Avenue and W. 47th at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, two people were found, shot, inside a Dodge Durango. Officers gave both people first aid until EMS arrived.

EMS took both of the wounded to MetroHealth, where they were later pronounced dead. Police said the victims were a 41-year-old man and 42-year-old woman.

A third person with a gunshot wound to their head was found in a different part of the city. He was also taken to MetroHealth for treatment, where he is currently confined.

Neighbors told police they heard what they thought were fireworks before they saw the two wounded people inside the Durango. Police said one person was taken to the homicide unit for an interview, but there have not yet been any arrests in the case.
