2 Men Shot, Killed Inside Cleveland Home

Police said the victims were found inside a house on Holly Hill Drive.

CLEVELAND — Two men were shot and killed inside a home on the east side of Cleveland on Thursday afternoon. Police have arrested a suspect in the shootings.

At about 3:20 p.m. on Thursday, police got reports of shots fired on Holly Hill Drive. Officers rushed to the scene and found two men inside the house, both shot. One of the victims, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead on the scene. A second victim, a 45-year-old man, was rushed to University Hospitals, but passed away at the hospital.

Investigators learned that someone had entered the house and shot both men. It was unclear what motivated the shootings.

Police said they learned that the suspected shooter had left the house and gone to a nearby McDonald's. Officers went to the restaurant and arrested the man. They found a handgun in his possession, police said.

The Cleveland Homicide Unit, and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, continue to investigate these shootings, police said.
