2 People Found Shot To Death Inside Car In Cleveland: Police

CLEVELAND — Two people were found shot to death inside a car on W. 54th Street on early Tuesday, Cleveland police announced.

At 1 a.m., 911 callers reported hearing gunshots near W. 54th and Storer Avenue. When officers arrived, they found two wounded people inside of a car. Both people had been shot multiple times.

The woman, a 29-year-old, had been shot in the neck and chest. The man, a 33-year-old, had been shot multiple times in the neck. Both people were pronounced dead at the scene, a Cleveland police spokesperson said.

The Cleveland police homicide unit took over the investigation. They interviewed multiple witnesses to the shooting and identified a possible suspect. Detectives located the suspect and found a handgun and narcotics in his possession.

The suspect, a 29-year-old man, was taken into custody on Tuesday, police said. The investigation into the killings is ongoing.
