2-Year-Old Girl Found Wandering Cleveland Turned Over To Family

A family member of the toddler identified the girl and has taken her home.

UPDATE: The father of the toddler has been found and the child has been identified. Police said the family are meeting with the Department of Child and Family Services.

CLEVELAND — Two students walking on Kipling Avenue, toward Hope Academy, found a toddler outside in the cold on Thursday morning. The child has not yet been identified by police and investigators are hoping someone can connect her to her parents or guardians.

The child is approximately 2 years old, Cleveland police said. She was discovered at 8 a.m. on Thursday. EMS took the girl to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for a precautionary evaluation.

Police said no one has called in a missing child. Anyone with information on who the toddler is should call 911 or 216-621-1234.
