20-Year-Old Shot To Death After Picking Up Food In Cleveland

The man had just gotten an early morning meal from Dina's Diner and was walking to his car when someone attacked him.

CLEVELAND — A 20-year-old was shot to death while picking up food from Dina's Diner on early Thursday morning.

Police said they were called to W. 46th Street at about 4:20 a.m. Thursday for reports of a wounded man. Police arrived on the scene and found the 20-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. First aid was given to the man until EMS arrived, and then he was rushed to MetroHealth. He later passed away from his injuries.

Witnesses said the man pulled up in a car, with a woman inside, and parked on W. 46th. The man then walked to Dina's Diner and the woman stayed in the car. The man picked up the food and started walking back.

Before he got to his car, an unidentified man confronted him. The two exchanged words and then the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the 20-year-old.

The woman jumped out of the car and gave first aid to the 20-year-old until police and EMS arrived.

No arrests have yet been made.
