An elite field of golfers are competing in the World Golf Championship-Bridgestone Invitational 2017 in Akron, Ohio.

AKRON, OH — Sergio Garcia, Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka, Matt Kuchar, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and other pro golf elites who are competing this week at the World Golf Championship-Bridgestone Invitational 2017 going on through Sunday, Aug. 6, in Akron.
The 70-par Firestone Country Club is hosting the PGA tournament, which offers a $9.75 million purse, including a $1.666 million first-place prize.
