21-Year-Old Declared Dead After Being Shot, Involved In Car Crash

A Cleveland man was declared dead after a car accident in Cleveland.

CLEVELAND — A 21-year-old was found shot to death in Cleveland on Thursday night, police announced.

Investigators believe the 21-year-old was shot at an apartment on Elk Avenue. A friend loaded him into a car and tried to drive him to a hospital.

However, on the way to the hospital, the 21-year-old friend ran a red light and was hit by another car near East Boulevard and Superior. Police were called to the car accident and gave the 21-year-old first aid until EMS arrived.

When EMS arrived, they declared the 21-year-old dead.

The driver of the other car suffered only minor injuries in the accident, police said.
