23-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Cleveland

Police said the man was hanging out near Dugan Park when a single shot was fired.

CLEVELAND, OH — A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Cleveland on late Thursday night. Police are asking the public for help identifying suspects in the case.

At about 11:40 p.m. on Thursday, callers reported that a man had been shot on Olympia Road. Officers found the man on the sidewalk, near a parked car. He had a gunshot wound in his torso, police said.

Officers administered first aid until EMS arrived. The man was then rushed to University Hospitals where he was eventually pronounced deceased.

The investigation found that the man had been in the area of Dugan Park. He was seen with a group of 15 to 2 people, hanging out and talking.

Police said a single shot was fired by an unknown suspect. That single shot hit the man in the torso, causing his death.

Members of the Homicide Unit, along with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, were called to the scene to investigate. There have been no arrests and the investigation is open.
