27-Year-Old Crashes Into Parked Car, Killed In Cleveland

Firefighters had to extricate the man from his car, according to Cleveland police.

CLEVELAND — A 27-year-old man was killed when his Lexus crashed into an unoccupied Ford parked on Bridge Avenue on Sunday. The driver had to be pulled from his car, according to Cleveland police.

At 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, a Lexus sedan was driving west on Bridge. Police said the car was going faster than the 25 mph speed limit.

While negotiating a turn near W. 38th, the driver lost control of his car and the Lexus drifted out of its lane and hit a Ford E350 (a box van) which was parked on the street.

When Cleveland firefighters arrived, they had to extricate the driver from the Lexus. The 27-year-old was then rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died.
