28-Year-Old Found Shot In The Chest In SUV In Cleveland

Police said the man's Audi SUV was parked in a driveway on Parkland Avenue on Monday afternoon. The driver had been shot in the chest.

CLEVELAND --On Monday afternoon, a 28-year-old man was shot to death inside his car, near Martin Luther King Boulevard on Cleveland's east side.

According to Cleveland police, at 12:30 p.m., officers were called to Parkview Avenue for reports of a wounded man. Officers found a 28-year-old in the driver's seat of an Audi SUV with a gunshot wound in his chest.

The 28-year-old was conscious but unresponsive, police said. Officers gave the man first aid until EMS arrived and took him to University Hospitals. The man was later pronounced dead, police records said.

The man's SUV was parked in a person's driveway. The homeowner told officers that someone knocked on their door and said there was a wounded man on their property. After telling the resident about the wounded man, the person walked away. The homeowner said they did not know either the person at their door or the person in the Audi.

Police said they do not know if the person that knocked on the resident's door was involved in the shooting.

Members of Cleveland Police's homicide unit were called to the scene. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the 28-year-old as Damone Keith-Brown, of Bedford.
