3 People Hospitalized After Car Chase Ends In Crash In Cleveland
A Jeep caught fire and two people were thrown from a car after a car chase in Cleveland, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

CLEVELAND — Three people are hospitalized after a car chase through part of Cleveland, the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced.
On late Saturday, a trooper saw a Jeep Cherokee weaving in and out of traffic on I-90. The trooper tried to stop the car, but the Cherokee sped up and tried to elude law enforcement, the patrol said.
During the chase, the Cherokee pulled off the W. 98th St. exit and flew down the ramp at 90 mph, the patrol said. The trooper stopped his pursuit to protect other drivers.

However, the Cherokee continued to speed through Cleveland, blowing past a red light at an intersection and hitting a Ford EcoSport. Both vehicles were pushed out of the intersection and off the road, the patrol said.
The EcoSport hit a chain link fence and both people inside the SUV were ejected. EMS rushed them both to MetroHealth Medical Center with critical injuries. They remain hospitalized, according to a patrol spokesperson.

The Cherokee stopped off road, but then caught fire. The driver of the Cherokee jumped out of his vehicle and took off running after the crash, the patrol said. A trooper caught up to him, tased him and then took him to the hospital, the highway patrol noted.
The suspect has been identified as Antwon Willis, 29, of Cleveland.
The highway patrol is still investigating the incident. No charges have yet been announced.
