31-Year-Old Shot To Death In Car In Cleveland

Police believe the man was sitting in his car when someone walked up and shot him in the head.

CLEVELAND — A man was found dead inside of a car on E. 143rd Street on Sunday morning, Cleveland police announced.

At about 4 a.m., police were called to the 1100 block of E. 143rd for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived they found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head, inside of a car.

Police gave the man first aid until EMS arrived and pronounced him dead.

Members of Cleveland Police's homicide unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office both went to the scene.

Investigators learned that someone walked up to the side of the car while the man was inside and fired multiple shots at the 31-year-old. No suspects have yet been identified.
