33-Year-Old Mother Shot In Front Of Daughters In Cleveland
Police said the woman died from her injuries.
CLEVELAND — A mother was shot to death in front of her two children on early Saturday in Cleveland.
At 1 a.m., police were called to I-77 south, near Harvard Avenue, for a shooting. When officers arrived, Newburgh Heights police were already there, giving aid to a 33-year-old woman inside a car. The woman had been shot multiple times, police said.
EMS rushed the woman to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead by doctors.

Two girls — ages 12 and 8 months — were also in the woman's car. Both girls were the 33-year-old's daughters. The children were taken to MetroHealth for evaluations. Neither was hurt.
Newburgh Heights police took a 34-year-old man into custody. Police said they also found a gun at the scene. Investigators believe the man shot the woman inside the car.
