37-Year-Old Killed At Cleveland Gas Station

CLEVELAND —A 37-year-old man was found dead in a Cleveland gas station parking lot on Tuesday afternoon, police announced. The man was shot to death, according to Cleveland law enforcement.

At 2:15 p.m., police were called to a gas station near E. 40th and College Ave. When officers arrived, they found the 37-year-old in the parking lot. He had been shot in the chest. Police gave the man first aid until EMS arrived and rushed him to MetroHealth Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead, police said.

A second man had been grazed by a bullet. He was also taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

A Cleveland police spokesperson said a man tried to walk into the gas station but was denied entry. He then flashed a handgun. As he walked down the street, being pursued by another man, the suspect turned and fired multiple shots, police said.

The suspect was last seen running into the Carver Park complex, police said.
