39-Year-Old Man Hit By Truck In Cleveland, Killed
The man was examining his Jeep Compass for damage from an earlier accident when a pickup truck crashed into his vehicle.

CLEVELAND — A 39-year-old man was hit by a car and killed in Cleveland on early Monday.
The man was standing outside his own vehicle, a Jeep Compass, at the time of the accident. The crash happened in the 10300 block of Kinsman Road.
According to police, the Compass had been hit by a car and the 39-year-old got out to check the damage to his vehicle. As he was examining the damage, a Dodge Ram pickup truck hit the Jeep and the Jeep hit the 39-year-old.

Both the Jeep and Dodge Ram rolled forward and came to a rest in a yard on Kinsman Road. The driver of the Ram, a 37-year-old Cleveland man, got out of his truck and started to walk away. Police found him a short distance from the crash.
The driver of the Ram suffered minor injuries and was taken to MetroHealth for examination. After being released from the hospital, he was booked at the Cuyahoga County Jail.

Cleveland police said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
