CLEVELAND — Rite-Aid is opening four free COVID-19 testing sites at stores in Cleveland, the company announced Wednesday.

Each testing site will utilize self-swab nasal tests. Pharmacists will oversee the tests. Testing will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend. All adults, 18 or older, are eligible or testing.

Registration for testing is necessary. Registration for the new testing sites is now open.

The four new self-swab test sites will be located at:

  • 6512 Franklin Blvd in Cleveland
  • 5411 Superior Ave in Cleveland
  • 10090 Chester Ave in Cleveland
  • 3402 Clark Ave in Cleveland

The Greater Cleveland Congregations recently protested chain pharmacies lack of testing sites in Cleveland. Communities at-risk are under-served, and residents are frequently forced to drive to outer suburbs for testing, protesters said, according to ideastream.

"Our clergy and several Fairmount Temple members participated today in a virtual demonstration with GCC - Greater Cleveland Congregations - fighting structural racism in the testing for COVID-19 sites of major pharmacies," Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple said on social media.
