42-Year-Old Killed Outside Cleveland Bar: Police
Police believe the 42-year-old attacked another patron and was subsequently stabbed.
CLEVELAND — A 42-year-old man was killed outside a Cleveland bar on Friday night, police announced.
The man was found inside a bar on Lorain Avenue. He had been stabbed one time, a police spokesperson said. A suspect was detained in the parking lot and then taken into custody.
Police gave the 42-year-old first aid until EMS took the man to Metro Health Medical Center, where he later died.

Investigators believe the suspect and the 42-year-old got into an argument inside the bar. Patrons restrained the two men and the suspect then left and went into the parking lot.
The 42-year-old followed him into the parking lot, police said. The 42-year-old pulled out a knife and attacked the suspect. The suspect produced his own knife and stabbed the 42-year-old, a police spokesperson said.

The 42-year-old ran back inside the bar and then collapsed. The suspect stayed in the parking lot and called 911. The suspect was interviewed by police and then released without any formal charges.
Prosecutors will review the case and decide if charges will be pursued, police said.
