50 MPH Wind Gusts In Northeast Ohio, Scattered Power Outages

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for much of the region, saying power outages are likely on Wednesday.

Winds are expected to hit 50 mph on Wednesday, making driving conditions hazardous and likely leading to scattered power outages in Northeast Ohio.

A wind advisory has been issued for the region by the National Weather Service. "Very wet ground conditions along with strong gusty winds may lead to a few trees to be easily blown down. Scattered power outages may be possible. Traveling with high profile vehicles may be difficult," the agency said.

Before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, there were more than 250 power outages reported in Cuyahoga County. The majority of the outages were in Cleveland, with smaller pockets of outages in Brook Park, Lakewood, Moreland Hills, Solon, Warrensville Heights, and Westlake.
