55-Year-Old Woman Killed In Cleveland, Police Ask Public For Help
A woman was found shot to death in Cleveland on Tuesday morning. Police have been unable to find any witnesses to the killing.
CLEVELAND — A 55-year-old woman was shot to death on Cleveland's east side on early Tuesday, police announced.
At 12:50 a.m., police were called to the 2500 block of E. 49th Street. When officers arrived they found the 55-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her chest. EMS arrived and provided medical attention, but the woman was declared dead at the scene.
Detectives scoured the surrounding area but could find no witnesses to the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 216-623-5464. Anonymous information can be provided via crimestoppers by calling 216-25-CRIME.

Members of the Cleveland police homicide unit are taking part in this investigation.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office announced Tuesday it had identified the 55-year-old as Kim Shurn, a Cleveland resident.
