6 Shootings In Cleveland On Saturday, 1 Person Killed

Early morning Saturday saw violence across the city.

CLEVELAND — There were six shootings in Cleveland on Saturday. One person was killed in the violence.

Five shootings took place in the early morning. Two shootings happened at 2 a.m., one on Lakeshore Avenue and the other on E. 124th Street, near St. Clair Avenue. One of the victims had to be lifeflighted to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

There was a third shooting at 3 a.m. when a 41-year-old woman on Lakeshore Boulevard was shot in the right thigh. She was taken to MetroHealth.

The fourth shooting happened at 4 a.m. when a pregnant woman and a man were both wounded by gunfire. The woman was shot in the arm and the man was shot in the chest. The Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority is investigating the violence.

The fifth shooting also happened on E. 107th. One man was shot in the stomach and killed, Cleveland police said. A second man was shot multiple times but refused treatment at MetroHealth.

Police said the men were in a car when someone shot their vehicle multiple times.

A sixth shooting happened at 1 p.m. on Saturday. A woman was shot in the head on E. 105th and St. Clair.
