65-Year-Old Attacked, Killed On Cleveland's West Side
An unidentified man punched a 65-year-old, knocking him to the ground and causing his death, police said.
CLEVELAND — A 65-year-old man was killed after being punched in the head on Cleveland's west side, police announced.
On Monday evening, the man left a store on W. 28th Street and Detroit when someone punched him in the head, knocked him to the ground and left him unconscious. The unidentified suspect then ran off, according to police.
The 65-year-old was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Medical officials said the man died from head trauma, according to police.

On Wednesday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the 65-year-old as a Cleveland resident. His death has been ruled a suspected homicide, the medical examiner said.
Members of the Cleveland police homicide unit and real time crime center are taking part in the investigation. No arrests have yet been made in this case.
