The Department of Justice announced indictments against eight people for taking part in a conspiracy to sell narcotics.
Eight people are accused of trying to sell large amounts of heroin and cocaine in Sandusky, the Department of Justice announced this week. One of the storage locations for the narcotics, the DOJ said, is in Cleveland.
“These defendants were part of a group that brought deadly heroin and cocaine into Sandusky,” U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said. “These arrests have helped make our community safer.”
The eight people named in the indictment are: Siron Mills, 41; Patrick Brown, 38; Daryl Castile, 48; Timothy Johnson, 40; Jon Lippert, 38; Darrius Martin, 26, and Eugene Nicholson, 49, all of Sandusky, as well as Gregory Boswell, 44, of Cleveland.

According to the indictment, the conspiracy to move and sell the narcotics stretched across three major Ohio cities: Sandusky, Columbus and Cleveland.
Siron Mills is accused of getting cocaine from a supplier in Columbus and heroin from Daryl Castile, the indictment said. The accused would then use several homes and vehicles in Sandusky and Cleveland to store, package and distribute the narcotics, according to the indictment.

Prosecutors are seeking the forfeit of four firearms, ammunition and nearly $40,000 in cash seized during the investigation.
The investigation into the eight accused persons was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Sandusky Police Department.
"Keeping our communities safe from drug trafficking and violent crime is a top priority for the DEA. We will continue to utilize our combined resources and work with our law enforcement partners to bring those threatening the safety of citizens in northern Ohio to justice," said Drug Enforcement Administration Acting Special Agent in Charge Keith Martin.
