Here are the top stories today in Cleveland:
- An 84-year-old man was mugged after leaving a bank in Cleveland. Now, police are asking the public for help finding the person who threatened to shoot him. On Oct. 15, the 84-year-old was leaving the Key Bank on E. 185th Street. He had $1,100 in cash.
- An appeals court has rejected a request from convicted former Cuyahoga County Jail director Ken Mills to put his nine-month jail sentence on hold while he appeals his conviction. Two 8th District Court of Appeals judges on Wednesday denied a motion, filed by Mills' attorney, asking the court to either delay his sentence or release him on bond until his appeal is completed. The decision by Judge Frank Celebrezze and Administrative Judge Mary Boyle means Mills will remain in jail while the court hears his appeal. (cleveland.com)
