86-Year-Old Woman Hurt During Purse Snatching In Cleveland

Police want the public's help finding the man accused of hurting the old woman's hand.

CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland Police are asking the public for help finding a robbery suspect that hurt an old woman and stole her purse. The 5th District has released a photo of the suspect and have asked residents to help identify the man.

On March 17, 2018, on the city's east side, an 86-year-old woman was parking her car in her garage when a man ran over to her, threw open her car door and grabbed her purse. The two struggled for awhile, but the suspect was able to wrestle the purse away and then take off. The 86-year-old suffered injuries to her hand during the scuffle.

The suspect was seen arriving in the woman's area in a dark blue or green Mazda SUV.
