Missing 9-Year-Old Found, Unharmed

The boy rode a RTA bus to the end of the line before going to his mom's workplace.

Updated: Javon Baber was found, unhurt, after he showed up at his mother's workplace. He rode the RTA bus to the end of the line before going to the workplace.

CLEVELAND, OH — Police are searching for a missing 9-year-old boy. Javon Baber was last seen Thursday morning at a bus stop in the 16700 block of Lakeshore Avenue. He boarded a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority bus at about 8:30 a.m.

Javon was supposed to go to the Lakeshore Learning Academy on Marcella Avenue. For some reason he changed buses at the Windemere Rapid Station in East Cleveland. He boarded a Heathline bus at 9:49 a.m. heading downtown. He has not been seen since.

He was last seen wearing a black coat with orange fur, dark blue pants and a green shirt. He is 5 feet tall and weighs 103 pounds.

Cleveland Police are working with the Regional Transit Authority to try and locate the 9-year-old. Anyone with information on Javon's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
