91-Year-Old Cleveland Man Hit By Car While Working In Front Yard

A car went off the side of the road and hit the 91-year-old man on Monday afternoon, police said.

CLEVELAND - A 91-year-old man was hit by a car while working in his front yard on Monday afternoon, police announced.

The man was doing lawn work at his home on E. 144th Street at about 3:30 p.m. when he was hit by a car. Cleveland police said a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix went off the side of the road, hit a tree and then hit the 91-year-old.

The Grand Prix hit the 91-year-old's house and rolled to a stop in the front yard. Two people got out of the car and took off running, witnesses told police.

Cleveland EMS rushed the 91-year-old to University Hospital. He has been confined with severe injuries, police said.

The Grand Prix is a four-door car and is gray, police said.
