Add A Lane To I-480? ODOT Wants Your Input
The Ohio Department of Transportation has proposed adding an additional lane to part of I-480 to ease traffic flow.

CLEVELAND — The Ohio Department of Transportation is considering adding a lane to I-480 west, between State Road and SR-176. ODOT hopes the additional lane would ease traffic flow merging onto I-480.
ODOT said the additional lane would create a safer merging condition between ramps and give drivers more distance to get into their desired lanes. The department also believes another lane could help traffic exiting onto State Road from I-480.
Construction on the project would start in 2020, ODOT said. Details on the project would be released in spring of next year.
