Age-Progression Photo Released In Ohio Missing Persons Cold Case
Law enforcement is hoping someone has information on the disappearance of Brain Shaffer.

COLUMBUS, OH — Investigators have released a technologically-aged photo of a man who went missing in 2006.
Brian Shaffer was 27-years-old when he was last seen in Columbus on April 1, 2006. Witnesses said Shaffer was at a bar near Ohio State University at 2 a.m. He hasn't been hard from since that day.
On Monday, more than a dozen years after Shaffer first went missing, investigators released an image of what Shaffer may now look like.

“Take a close look at this image: a single tip can reignite a cold case and bring a family closer to reunification with a loved one,” Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said. “Hope doesn’t have an expiration date – every missing person counts.”
Shaffer is a white man, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall. He weighed 170 pounds at the time of his disappearance. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, a blue or green striped shirt and tennis shoes.

The age-progressed photo of Shaffer was created by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), at the direction of Yost. Investigators hope the image may prompt new tips on Shaffer's case.
“We would like to thank BCI and their forensic artists who worked tirelessly on the age-progression image of Brian Shaffer,” Interim Columbus Police Chief Michael Woods said. “We would like to find every person from our missing persons cases and believe this is another step in hopes that we can find Mr. Shaffer.”
Anyone with information about Shaffer or his disappearance should call the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-2358.
