Firewind Reveal Their New Concept Album "Gods, Myths & Titans", Stream "The Legend Of Achilles" (theprp.com) — Fans in Cleveland can catch Greek power metal band Firewind at Mercury Music Lounge on September 16 as part of their North American tour. The group is promoting their upcoming concept album "Gods, Myths & Titans," built around Greek mythology and featuring the new single "The Legend Of Achilles," which is already streaming with a lyric video.
3. Remembering 9/11: How Northeast Ohio is commemorating, 25 years later (fox8.com) — Northeast Ohio communities, including Cleveland, are marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with ceremonies at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and a large Cleveland 9/11 Day of Service packing thousands of meals. Residents can attend wreath-laying events, view local remembrance displays, or watch services via livestream to honor victims and volunteers.
4. Diesel prices spike to $6.50 a gallon at Cleveland-area gas station (cleveland19.com) — Diesel prices around Cleveland have surged, with some drivers paying nearly $6.50 a gallon and the regional average close behind. The spike, tied to global conflicts disrupting oil supplies, could eventually raise grocery and goods prices for Cleveland households as transportation costs climb.
5. Marc's closing Parma distribution center, laying off 55 (cleveland.com) — Marc's is closing its Parma distribution center this fall, cutting 55 warehouse and operations jobs that support its discount stores across the Cleveland area. While the company hasn't explained the shutdown, affected workers are being offered help with job placement and chances to apply for other Marc's openings.
