His visit comes as his wife Taylor Swift's ties to Greater Cleveland, including a new song and local home, have fans buzzing about the couple's growing local presence.
   

• Gavin Williams comes up huge in Guardians' Game 5 win (chroniclet.com) — Cleveland fans just watched Gavin Williams dominate at Progressive Field, striking out 12 and combining with the bullpen for a record 21 strikeouts as the Guardians shut out the White Sox in a winner-take-all Game 5. The victory sends Cleveland to Tampa for the American League Championship Series, keeping the city's postseason hopes very much alive.
   

• Resident loses $3,000 in computer/phone scam; drunk man with head wound taken to hospital: Brook Park police blotter (cleveland.com) — Brook Park police recently handled a string of troubling incidents, including a resident losing $3,000 in a computer scam and several drunk driving arrests on familiar streets like Smith, Snow, and Holland roads. One of those OVI arrests involved a 34-year-old Cleveland woman stopped after swerving across lanes near Brookpark Road.
