Arrest Warrant Reportedly Issued For Odell Beckham Jr.
The Browns receiver is being sought by police after video showed him making contact with a security guard at the National Championship game.

NEW ORLEANS, LA — Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is reportedly being sought by New Orleans police after he was seen on video appearing to touch a security guard during LSU's post-National Championship game celebration on Monday. A judge signed a warrant for simple battery on Thursday morning, according to NOLA.com.
Beckham, an LSU alum, first made headlines for his National Championship game antics when he handed out wads of cash to some of LSU's football players after their victory over Clemson. Then, in a video leaked this week, Beckham is seen appearing to make contact with a security guard.
The security guard filed charges against Beckham, ESPN said. New Orleans police saw the video and decided to pursue simple battery charges against Beckham, according to NOLA.com.

The Cleveland Browns released a statement on Thursday afternoon, saying, "We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation."
Under Louisiana law simple battery is defined as contact without a person's consent. Simply battery is punishable by six months in prison or a $1,000 fine, or both, ESPN reported.
