Arthritis Foundation Seeks Northeast Ohio Volunteers

The foundation said it needs local volunteer leaders.

From Arthritis Foundation: Are You a Champion? We are all dreamers and fighters, implored by the same goals and impassioned with the same persistence. But only some of us are born leaders — naturally able and ready to take on important roles that truly make a difference. Fundraising efforts. Bringing in volunteers. Making a stand against arthritis. Our most engaged volunteers lead the Live Yes! Arthritis Network as Champions.

Champions support and guide others in their journey with arthritis - directing them to resources, sharing their own experiences and fostering connection points with subject matter experts. Volunteers fuel the Arthritis Foundation, from fundraising to advocating to providing peer support. Arthritis Foundation volunteers work relentlessly in their communities and with the Arthritis Foundation to ensure that children and adults living with arthritis receive the resources and support they need to live their best life.

Donna Casey, an Arthritis Foundation volunteer for over ten years shares, “My journey as a volunteer started because my parents were afflicted with arthritis. My passion to support the arthritis community has led me to accept a board position with the Arthritis Foundation and facilitate sponsorships from key health care organizations. Currently representing Altenheim Senior Living and its support of the Arthritis Foundation, being able to involve health care organizations and key physicians has allowed me to make an impact for the more than 54 million Americans with arthritis.”
