Baby Shot In Cleveland, Suspect Now In Custody

Over the weekend, a 6-month-old baby was wounded in a shooting. On Monday, police took a suspect in the shooting into custody.

CLEVELAND — A suspect in the shooting of a 6-month-old baby and a pregnant woman has been taken into custody, Cleveland police announced.

At 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, a 6-month-old baby and a pregnant woman were both hurt in the shooting on Cleveland's east side. The child was hit in the back and the woman was hit in the leg, according to police reports. Neither injury was life threatening, according to police.

On Monday, Cleveland police released images of a man suspected of involvement in the shooting. After tips poured in, officers took the man into custody, police said.
