Bertman Ball Park Mustard Dumps Chief Wahoo Logo
It's the first time since 1925 that the company has changed its own branding.

CLEVELAND — Locally beloved Bertman Ball Park Mustard is changing its logo and losing the Chief Wahoo icon.
“We know that the old logo’s ‘retirement’ will make some people nostalgic,” said Bertman CEO Michael Mintz. “What hasn’t changed is the timeless recipe we’ve used since 1925…vinegar, brown mustard seed, and a unique blend of spices. Bertman Original Ball Park Mustard has generations of fans because of its spicy goodness and our new branding looks great!”
The company announced the updated branding on Wednesday, noting that it was the first time since 1925 its labeling had changed. The new packages will be available in stores in late February.

The updated labeling still features the same red, white, and blue colors, along with a bold "Bertman" script lettering. The refreshed labeling was also done for the Horseradish Sauce, which now has an orange and ark blue coloring.

“The main driver of the update was the retirement of the Cleveland Indians longtime logo. It has been on our bottle for years and because we needed to modify one label, we took the opportunity to revamp our entire product line and present a more cohesive brand look and feel," Mintz added.
