Betts Installs Outdoor Dining Greenhouses

Betts (2000 E. 9th Street) is installing nine individual greenhouses, beautifully lining East 9th street, on their new outdoor patio. Scenically appealing, while warm and experiential, the cozy greenhouses will allow the restaurant to continue offering socially distanced al fresco dining as the seasons change. The greenhouses will launch on Thursday, October 15.

“These stunning greenhouses will allow our guests to continue enjoying outdoor dining as the weather changes,” said Jason Reiss, General Manager. “The greenhouses are separate and intimate, yet still visible, allowing diners to embrace the energy of one of downtown Cleveland’s most prominent corners; it makes for a totally unique and special experience."

Betts will install nine greenhouses on their patio. Six of the transparent greenhouses can accommodate two guests, and three of the larger greenhouses can hold as many as six guests. Each greenhouse is outfitted with lights and heaters. The greenhouses also have windows to allow continuous airflow while eating. The servers, of course, will wear masks and each greenhouse will be thoroughly sanitized between each party. Patrons can reserve a greenhouse for up to two hours. There is not a rental fee, but a minimum spend for the larger greenhouses Friday & Saturday evenings and for weekend brunch. They are also available for private events and parties.

“With the launch of the greenhouses and updated fall menus, we are encouraging guests to make reservations early,” said Reiss. The recently-opened restaurant has been a popular choice for Clevelanders, featuring elevated, health-conscious fare that caters to all diets, including vegan, gluten-free, keto, dairy-free and vegetarian.
