Big Brothers Big Sisters Launch Donation Pick-Up Service In Ohio

Cuyahoga County residents can donate gently used clothes and home goods to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland.

CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga County residents can now donate gently used clothes, shoes and home goods to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland (BBBS) without ever leaving their home. The organization is launching a home pick-up service through www.DonateStuff.com.

The pick-up service is free and available to anyone living in Cuyahoga County.

“We are so excited to partner with DonateStuff.com! Just by scheduling a free-donation pick up, people around Cuyahoga County and help make a meaningful contribution to the lives of kids all over our area,” said Jessica Walters, president and CEO of BBBS. “Every child can benefit from having another caring adult in their corner, and the funds we raise through this partnership will directly sponsor more children to be paired with a Big Brother or Big Sister.”

A dedicated call center and a fleet of a dozen trucks will coordinate pick-ups throughout the cuonty. Funds raised through the program will support BBBS case managers and staff who provide mentoring services and activities to children.

The BBBS works with nearly 300 kids per year in Cuyahoga County.
